Purchasing committees responsible for construction investments from 11 countries have participated in International TURKEYBUILD Istanbul 2009.  Under the coordination of Prime Minister’s Office Undersecreteriat of Foreign Trade, and as a joint organization of Istanbul Mine and Metals Exporters Union General Secretary (İMMİB) and Central Anatolis Exportation Unions General Secretary (OAİB), 98 purchasing committees from Azerbaijan­­­, Czech Republic, Greece, Iran, Kazakhstan, Romania, Russian Federation, Sultanate of Oman, Syria, U.A.E., and Ukraine met over 150 Turkish companies.  The international events continued throughout the fair. Visiting speakers representing public and private sectors from Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Mongolia and Tajikistan attended in the “Eurasian Construction Forum” and informed the audience on the commercial opportunities in their respective countries. Delegations from Pakistan and Spain seeking distributors or providers in Turkey got in touch with their target companies in B2B meetings.
