USETEC, the world trade fair for used technology that celebrates its premiere in April 2011 in Cologne, has a new website. At usetec.com, detailed information about the trade fair for used technology for all sectors is now available in 19 languages. “We have been able to contribute our experience of over 16 years in the market”, says Florian Hess, Managing Director of USETEC organiser Hess GmbH. “We want to pick up exhibitors and visitors right at their doorstep. Detailed information about the USETEC concept in the mother tongue lowers the barrier for a trade fair participation in Germany significantly.”
Next to tried and tested elements, developed in close cooperation between Hess GmbH and key players in the used market, new functions will be added to the USETEC web step by step. The partners Koelnmesse and FDM also contribute their expert knowledge in online services: the USETEC online catalogue will thus be developed into a leading market platform for used technology. “For over 10 years we have been operating an online information platform for stockholding machine dealers, also in 19 languages“, explains Kurt Radermacher, Managing Director of the FDM (Trade Association for Machine Tools and Tools), who is acting as Technical Sponsor of USETEC. “We know what the market wants and we will shape the USETEC web services to cater for the needs of the trade.“ USETEC is proving to be very popular. Since its launch in March 2010, exhibitor interest has been extremely high. Among the exhibitors that have already registered are leading international companies from different segments that reach far beyond the FDM member companies. Together with stand reservations, the exhibition space is utilized to over 80% already at this early stage, 9 months before the event. Next to the general feeling of recovery in the used machinery markets, the excellent perspectives at the new venue in Cologne are the main reason for the strong demand for exhibition space. The organisers are therefore urging all companies that have not yet registered for USETEC 2011 to book their stands soon. The worldwide visitor marketing campaign for USETEC has started. In addition to the relaunch of the USETEC website in 19 languages, direct marketing activities to over 135 countries have already been undertaken. Between the three partners Koelnmesse, Hess and FDM, more than 110,000 qualified contacts have been addressed online. Almost 20,000 potential buyers of used machines will find a personalised invitation by the USETEC organisers in the mail in the coming days, in 7 languages, before the main visitor marketing campaign starts in the autumn, in all 19 languages of USETEC. |
